  • Foam Plastics: Also called porous plastics, foam materials provide excellent shock absorption, low thermal conductivity, and chemical stability, making them ideal for cushioning product packaging.

3. Metal Packaging Materials

Metal packaging is extensively used for industrial products, transport, and sales packaging due to its mechanical strength, excellent protection capabilities, and unique metallic luster that enhances the appearance of products.

  • Steel Packaging: Steel is abundant and cost-effective compared to other metals, offering good plasticity and ductility.
  • Aluminum Packaging: Lightweight and resistant to corrosion, aluminum is durable, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to print on. It is often used for sales packaging, such as cans.

4. Glass and Ceramic Packaging Materials

Both glass and ceramics are non-permeable, corrosion-resistant, non-toxic, and provide stable chemical properties. They can be made into various shapes and colors and are ideal for packaging liquids, foods, and chemicals.

  • Glass Packaging: Glass is transparent and cost-effective, commonly used for bottles, jars, and other containers.
  • Ceramic Packaging: Ceramics have high chemical and thermal stability, making them suitable for packaging that needs to withstand high temperatures or rapid changes in temperature, such as for food or chemical containers.
